The
Mario
and Alma Pastega
Golden Apple
Awards
are awarded
annually to
one teacher
at the
elementary,
middle
school, and
high school
levels as
well as to
one
classified
employee. Each
year
administrators
send nominations
of
exceptional
Corvallis
School
District
staff to the
Foundation.
The
Superintendent's
Executive
Team
determines
the
recipients
and the
Foundation
announces
the awards
at a Back to
School Event
in
September.
The
Stellar
Service
Award is the
highest
honor the
school
district can
bestow.
It is
awarded to
a person who
has
gone above
and beyond
to provide
the very
best
education to
Corvallis
children and
youth.
Unlike the
Golden Apple
Award, the
Stellar
Service
Award is not
given every
year, but at
the
discretion
of the
Superintendent.
Acknowledging
the
outstanding
achievements
of Corvallis
teachers and
classified
staff is an
important
part of what
we do.
The
Foundation
is grateful
to Mario and

for their

program.
