Fundraising and Grant Support Services
We provide ongoing support to schools and programs throughout Corvallis School District as they research and pursue fundraising opportunities. This support takes a variety of forms:
Donation Processing and Receipting
CPSF processes more than $700,000 per year in donations to various schools and District-wide projects. All 13 schools have at least two accounts with CPSF for general and designated donations. In addition, we process donations and handle receipting for the Homeless Education Program, service learning projects, E3 Literacy Mentors, Student Services (special education), Outdoor School, and many others. Schools and programs typically receive access to their donations within two weeks of receipt and all donors receive a receipt for tax purposes regardless of the amount of their donation.
Account Management
CPSF actively manages more than 400 accounts ensuring that school representatives are aware of their account balances, that funds are spent in a timely manner, and that they are used for the purpose the donor designated.
Direct Donation Drives
From brochure and web site development to strategization to donor recognition, CPSF helps parent organizations and schools to begin or continue direct donation drives at their schools. We provide consultations, pledge cards, monthly donation and credit card processing services to ensure successful donation drives. We also sometimes provide domain name and web hosting services for fundraising groups.
Event Support
CPSF provides support services to groups having silent auctions, t-shirts sales, golf tournaments, runs, and many other events that support education in Corvallis public schools. We assist these groups with event coordination referrals, consultations that include advice from other successful events, materials review and consultation, credit card processing, web hosting, and tax deductibility issues including proper receipting for purchases and donations.
Grant Consultation
We provide grant support services to Corvallis School District staff, school volunteer fundraising groups, and parent organizations on an as-needed basis. Services include data procurement, outcome and measurement development, grant review and recommendations, and evaluation and reporting. We also provide grant writing services for District-wide and/or major ($25,000 or more) grant opportunities.
Some examples of projects we have supported with some of the above services include:
- CV/CHS Golf Scramble
- the Hardball Classic
- the Midsummer Night's Run
- Wildcat Park
- Garfield Playground
- Mountain View Elementary Donation Drive
- Jefferson Elementary Direct Donation Drive
- Peace Jam
