Reading
CPSF knows that reading is the first building block for success in every other subject, so we work hard to provide our students with a wide variety of tools to achieve their full potential in this subject. Over the years, CPSF has:
- Distributed more than $83,000 to Corvallis schools for reading programs through the Every Child a Reader campaign in 2002
- Purchased high-interest fiction and nonfiction books for libraries
- Supported literacy mentors at Cheldelin and Linus Pauling Middle Schools
- Provided coordination support for pre-school literacy program planning
- Given grants to purchase reading manipulatives, posters, specialized reading books, and other reading materials in both English and Spanish
Your donation to CPSF for reading supports these and other innovative and important initiatives at every grade level helping to ensure that every Corvallis public school student has the opportunity to succeed.
