Student leader Wren Well recognized a need when Garfield Elementary School’s remodel added a walled area for basketball and kickball. The walls became a canvas for spray paint and chalk graffiti. In response, Well requested funds from a YEA! Grant to create a community mural, where students could collaborate and create designated artwork as a way to complete the new school, set it apart from the other newly renovated schools in Corvallis, and celebrate their unique community. The students did a fantastic job on this project!
