The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation experienced a banner year, with new programs, strong partnerships, and incredible community support for public education.

A highlight of the year was the launch of two new initiatives. The first, the Green Apple Award, recognizes educators who champion sustainability within the Corvallis School District. This new honor will be awarded for the first time in 2026. The second, Educator Grants, debuted at the Back-to-School Rally in August (pictured above). Through partnerships with 15 local businesses, CPSF awarded 18 educators $250 grants to purchase classroom resources and start the school year off right.

Throughout 2025, the Corvallis community showed up again and again in meaningful ways. In January, our annual benefit breakfast, Hands Across Corvallis, exceeded its $100,000 fundraising goal, a milestone made possible by more than 300 attendees and an incredible group of sponsors.

“This past year showed us the power of partnership and the generosity of a community committed to its students. We are grateful for the support that made this work possible and excited for what lies ahead.” Angela Hibbard Executive Director, Corvallis Public Schools Foundation

In late spring, local residents who financially support CPSF showed their support for public education by displaying “We 💚 Public Education” yard signs throughout the community. A drive around Corvallis today makes it clear just how widely that message was embraced.

During summer, thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, we once again funded critical summer programs that help students engage in school, earn credit, and stay on track to graduate.

Later in the fall, when CPSF launched the Resource Drive in response to SNAP cuts and reductions in Federal and State funding, the response was immediate. Within a week, the Corvallis School District pantry was fully stocked, gift cards poured in, and local businesses, churches, and community members organized their own supply drives in support. The generosity was truly extraordinary.

CPSF closed out the year by hosting “Future-Ready Corvallis: Partnering with Industry to Shape Tomorrow’s Education”, a collaborative meeting with local businesses and industry leaders in partnership with the Corvallis School District. More than twenty participants joined the discussion, sharing thoughtful insights on how to prepare Corvallis graduates for life after high school and exploring meaningful partnerships that offer students hands-on, real-world learning experiences.

Alongside these new efforts, CPSF continued its core work throughout the year, awarding:

This past year reinforced the power of a community coming together for its students. We are deeply grateful to everyone who chose to partner with CPSF in 2025, and we’re excited for what’s ahead, including the first-ever Green Apple Award, a second round of Educator Grants, more Future-Ready Corvallis Industry sessions, and another successful Hands Across Corvallis on January 27th.
