This fund was established to award an annual scholarship to a CSD graduating senior pursuing a career in journalism, communication, public relations, advertising, videography, cinematic arts, or a related field. A graduate of Crescent Valley High School, Ms. Fang built a career in public relations, working internationally with people from around the world. Through this scholarship, she aims to support students who are considering similar paths.

The fund provides an annual scholarship to graduating CHS students planning to pursue a degree in the fine or performing arts.

This fund was established in memory of Doris L. Myers, a longtime Corvallis School District employee. The fund supports innovative learning projects through CPSF grant programs.

This fund was established in honor and memory of Eric Gorski, a 1998 graduate of Crescent Valley High School, whose creativity and talents shone through drawing, cartooning, animation, screenwriting, filmmaking, and editing. It provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Corvallis or Crescent Valley High School who plans to pursue an education in Multimedia Design.

This fund was established by Alma Moldenke in honor and memory of her husband, Dr. Harold N. Moldenke, to support the school district’s Outdoor School and environmental education programs. Additional gifts to this fund will ensure continuing support of environmental education of Corvallis students.

Established in 2019 by William and Ann Hetherington, this term endowment supports hands-on, real-world learning in science, technology, engineering, and math at the middle and high school levels.

Inspired by Jared Pastega’s loving kindness, the Jared Pastega Endowed Fund was established in 2022 to support students in need at Crescent Valley High School. This fund was established in 2020 in honor and memory of long-time Corvallis High School Drama Teacher, Joe Malango. The fund supports the Theater Arts program at Corvallis High School and the joint summer program of Corvallis High School and Corvallis School District Theaters.

Established in memory of former middle school science teacher Mr. John Houston, this fund provides an annual scholarship for students pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field.

Established by CHS Class of ‘66 alumnus and artist, K.C. Bacon, this fund provides a scholarship to a graduating senior from Corvallis High School with plans to pursue a degree in the arts.

Established in honor and memory of Kenneth J. Stevenson, the CHS boys’ varsity tennis coach from 1996 to 2019, this fund provides a scholarship annually to a graduating senior from Corvallis High School who has played two or more years of varsity boys or girls tennis and has plans to enroll in an accredited institution of post-high school learning.

This fund was established by former Corvallis School District principal Lynn Lahey to support an annual college scholarship for a bilingual student from Corvallis High School or Crescent Valley High School.

Established in 1996 by Mario Pastega, this fund provides cash awards to teachers as part of the annual Golden Apple Awards. The Golden Apple Awards recognize outstanding achievements by district teachers and staff and are managed by the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation.

This endowed fund was established in 2015 in memory of Midge Mueller, a former math teacher who loved teaching middle school students. The Midge Mueller Fund offers assistance to middle school students who need extra support with math education.

Established in memory of OSU Veterinary Pathologist Olaf Hedstrom, this fund supports a scholarship for a graduating senior enrolling in a university in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, General Science, Animal Science, Zoology, Horticulture, or Agriculture.

This endowed fund was established to provide an annual college scholarship to a graduating senior, preferably one who has participated on a Corvallis golf team, who demonstrates leadership and academic achievement.

Recognizing the impact that a student’s mental health has on student success, this fund was established in 2022 to support 509J staff professional development opportunities related to mental health and behavioral support and prevention for students.

This fund was established in 2016 in honor and memory of Zach Peters, a former Crescent Valley High School student, who was a gifted dancer and singer. From launching his own YouTube channel at age 11 to winning the CV talent show as a sophomore, Zach’s creativity and energy inspired many. Offered in the spirit of his musical talents and love for life, this fund supports an annual scholarship to a CV graduate with plans to attend a college, university, or art school and major in some aspect of Performing Arts or Education.

Zel Brook established the Art Project Endowment to support the creation of projects in the fine arts of sculpture, painting, and drawing, including murals or other works of mixed media, by students in the Corvallis public schools.

This fund was established by the Silbernagel family in honor and memory of Zoe Silbernagel to support CHS student participation in athletics and the performing arts. As the CHS registrar for twenty years, Zoe loved interacting with students. Whether she was in her office or the counseling center, mingling with students at lunch, or traveling with the choir, Zoe was a steady and thoughtful presence for CHS students.
